I don’t remember doing any drawings of Big Ben, The Tower of London, or The Eye (the giant ferris wheel on the Thames). I did, however, stumble across a sketch of Freddie Mercury, the late/great lead singer of Queen. No better way to say “UK,” and to also get ready for a trip to England, than by featuring Freddie Mercury and listening to Queen, Live At Wimbley ’86 (Bohemian Rhapsody, We Will Rock You, We Are The Champions, God Save The Queen, etc.).
We have tickets to a some great theater productions (The Tempest, Othello, Peter and Alice), art exhibits (A Pompeii exhibit, The Tate Modern, The Saatchi Gallery), The British Library, The British Museum, The National Portrait Gallery, maybe the Kew Gardens, Oxford (which automatically includes some very cool pubs such as The Turf and The Eagle & Child), and various other pubs in London, especially my favorite – Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese — to which I just might make a daily commitment. Because that’s how I roll. At the end of the day it is what it is. Stay calm and carry on. OK, got that out of my system.

I’ll post several preliminary blogs before we leave on April 12th. Regular postings (daily, or close to it) should start after that, on the 13th or 14th.
I see that the last post to this blog was exactly one year ago, April 3, 2012. Weird.
As Freddie says at the beginning of the live performance of In The Lap Of The Gods...
“Hello again my beauties!”
